June 2012 Economic Update
Things fell in May: stock and commodity prices, Treasury yields, mortgage rates, gas prices and the value of the euro. Investors worried about fragmentation of the eurozone, the possibility of default in Greece and bank woes in Spain. U.S. economic indicators ranged from tepid to middling, leading some analysts to wonder if another stimulus was needed.
